Greenland requires about $600 million in annual funding from Denmark to sustain. Some of this money pays for universal healthcare, free college education, free or heavily subsidized day care/preschool and free elderly care. If Greenland becomes a part of America would Americans be willing to continue these programs or would Americans demand they be cut off?

@atrupar I'm just insinuating that if Greenland is in a worst case scenario situation, Canada would welcome them with open arms, and not take them by force. And it wouldn't be a bad thing for Greenland because they would just be joining a country that their land mass originated from.

@atrupar Greenland's landmass separated from Canada's landmass millions of years ago due to the process of plate tectonics. Greenland is part of the North American tectonic plate.

Canada is a strangely disjointed country. The vast majority of its media is right-wing owned/biased, constantly trying to force torqued narratives, but the vast majority of its citizens are progressives in the centre or left. If Canada had its way, Postmedia would evaporate.
