At our AGM on Wednesday we were thrilled to give this big cheque for £8000 to Alison Harwood, Chief Executive of @OvergateHospice. The entire proceeds from our Christmas Concert 🎶🎄

Soprano @JenAliceClark's opera credits include roles with Opera North, Welsh National Opera and West Green House Opera, alongside ensemble work with the Grange Festival. Current 2023 plans include a UK tour of The Mikado with Charles Court Opera jenniferclarksoprano.com

Baritone @theopbaritone is a recent graduate of the RCM's International Opera Studio, and in the last year has worked with Grange Park Opera and Festivals Malta. In 2023 he tours with Diva Opera in their production of Rigoletto in South Africa & France theoperrybaritone.com

We're delighted to welcome two outstanding soloists for our concert of Fauré, Vaughan Williams, Saint-Saëns & Boulanger this Saturday 18th March: soprano @JenAliceClark and baritone @theopbaritone. Here's a little intro to each of them...

Fauré's much-loved Pie Jesu, meanwhile, finds a remarkable counterpart in Boulanger's rarely performed setting. It was among the last works she ever wrote, and was dictated to her sister, Nadia, the year Lili died, aged just 24. (3/3) youtu.be/eLxrA8cG2ZI

We can't wait for our concert this Saturday! Alongside the more familiar Five Mystical Songs by Vaughan Williams and Fauré's ever-popular Requiem, we'll also be singing two lesser-known works: two movements from Saint-Saëns' Requiem, and Lili Boulanger's Pie Jesu...(1/3)
