Day 45 of Learning to Code in Public.
Today I spent about 2 hours building on what I practiced yesterday.
Since I started organizing elements with "
" containers, I wanted to understand how different parts of a webpage are structured.
So I practiced creating simple sections like:
A header
A content section
A footer
It helped me see how most webpages are basically different sections stacked together.
I also experimented more with CSS styling.
Things like:
• changing background colors for different sections
• adjusting spacing so elements don’t feel cramped
• making text more readable with better alignment
One small thing I learned today is that good spacing makes a huge difference.
Two pages can have the same content, but the one with better spacing and structure just feels easier to read.
Still early in the journey, but every small piece is starting to make more sense.
Still learning.
Still building.
Still doing it in public.

Day 44 of Learning to Code in Public. Today I spent about 2 hours continuing where I stopped. I focused more on practicing HTML structure and reinforcing some CSS basics I learned earlier. One thing I worked on today was divs and containers. A "
" is basically a box that helps group elements together on a webpage.
Instead of having text, images, and sections scattered everywhere, divs help organize them into clean sections.
I also practiced styling these sections using CSS.
Things like:
• background colors
• spacing between sections
• adjusting margins and padding
It made me realize that building a webpage is not just about putting elements on the screen.
It’s about organizing them so the page feels structured and readable.
I also experimented a bit with hover effects in CSS.
That’s the small interaction where something changes when you move your mouse over it.
Small detail, but it makes a webpage feel more alive.
Still learning.
