@PToothaker @TaxJar It kind of got stale and felt forced so it naturally tapered off. We decided to let the team meet when they wanted. We’ve had another round of hiring so we’ll be bringing it back. We also use discord in tandem with slack. Discord is for social. We use the voicerooms for fun stuff

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of @ShipperHQ being a remote company. I'm going to try and make a thread on what we learned:

@Quentalto @TaxJar Maintaining culture with no face to face contact is tough. Any highlights or surprising successes you all have seen?

CULTURE: Translating from a core "in office" culture to remote is HARD. We've still not nailed this but it's not all about just setting aside time for "virtual happy hours". We looked to companies like @TaxJar for inspiration on how to make it work
