What started as a terrifying active shooter situation at Brown University may now be one of the worst campus shootings in recent memory.
According to live scanner audio, authorities are saying there may be up to 20 victims… though that number is still unconfirmed as police continue clearing buildings and locating the wounded.
The masked gunman has been taken into custody, but the full scale of the damage is still unfolding in real time.
This is an Ivy League university in the heart of a liberal, “safe” New England city, and yet it became a war zone in minutes.
An elite campus with national prestige, didn’t matter, it still fell victim to gun violence.
Students dove behind desks, first responders begged for more ambulances, and families are now waiting for names and answers.
And tomorrow? It’ll be another campus, another “incident,” and more hollow outrage.
The system isn’t broken… it’s apparently working exactly as it’s allowed to.
