I spent most of my childhood in and out of refugee camps and I'm thinking about how different my life would've been if all these nations had opened their borders to my family when we were fleeing political conflict in the early 90s. Instead we lingered in refugee camps for 7 yrs.

I’m going to come out & say it. Education is broken. It needs a complete re-think. Curriculum, Assessment, Ofsted, Academisation; it’s just not working. We need to think again about the purpose of education & how to support all children to succeed & thrive both in & beyond school

Tory cuts put pressure on councils but we have power at a local level to question processes before contracts are signed with the LTA in our park. We can't deflect equalities issues through possible local failings by lock & pay-gating of a space with national politics
