They made it very clear that if Taiwan declared independence, they'd attack. The KMT and the CCP are frenemies. Everyone knows that but you, it seems.

It’s a civil war so the opinion of the 1.4 billion people on the mainland is also a major factor 😃

Neither of these factors are remotely likely to change

It’s not a popular thing to say online, but from the looks of it, the continuation of the status quo over “the Taiwan question” is probably the most likely option to occur

The fact they sometimes can't call themselfs "RoC" has to do with the One China Policy and international interests rather than the RoC magically not being the RoC anymore.

They built them fully expecting to actually use. They didnt just build them to rot in port.
