Here, have an unpublished old school TSR D&D module for free!
WGRX - "Ivid the Undying" by Carl Sargent.
Never released to the public, this module was supposedly on the verge of publication when the project was yanked. The text of the module was released by Wizards of the Coast and is freely distributable.
This particular version has been extensively edited and re-formatted by William Allman, where he has painstakingly created a well-laid-out .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) file from the original text. The result is quite close to what the finished module may have looked like -- it even incorporates the maps into the module text, and features the planned cover art!

I’ve hit my limit. I need to share something that’s been weighing heavily on me.
I've played in a DOZEN TTRPGs lately, and I can say with certainty that every single one was driven by an AI-written narrative. And you know what? It was glaringly obvious. The soul was just… gone.
This isn't some "new tech is scary" rant. I've been in this hobby since 1979. My family has been in the business since the early 70s. I own an FLGS. I'm a published author. This hobby is my life.
For nearly 30 years, I've poured my heart and soul into the same campaign world. It's a living tapestry woven with my players, filled with history, mistakes, triumphs, and inside jokes that no machine could ever replicate. We built that. Together.
What I'm seeing now is the opposite of building. It's soulless generation. I use AI myself—as a sounding board, an editor. It’s a tool, not the artisan. But to see the core of our hobby handed over to an algorithm feels like a profound loss. It's like replacing a home-cooked meal with a nutrient paste. It might fill you up, but it will never nourish you.
To all the GMs out there: I'm begging you. Don't let your creativity be outsourced. The heart of this hobby is human connection, shared imagination, the beautiful, messy, unpredictable spark that happens between people. It’s not a string of perfectly bland, algorithmically generated prompts.
Your players deserve your story. Not a soulless echo. Let's champion the GMs who pour their passion into their worlds and the players who bring them to life. Our stories are worth more than that.

Deeper Beneath The Finger
There is a strange break between these two levels. We transition from the strange temple/structures of the Reverie Collective to something much older-a set of secret substructures that still have working elevators between them.

@roguecaliber @Waynes_Books Elves, Dwarfs, and the Gnome & Halfling books all had lots of good information and some nice kits. The thief book has some really cool stuff about designing a thieves guild, and the fighter one has lots of solid kits. I 2nd the arms & equipment and Of Ships... recommendation.

I do need to rebuild my Complete books after they were stolen many years ago. Which ones were your favorite? Which ones didn’t you like?

@Nobleshield @roguecaliber I liked the critical hit tables from Combat and Tactics, and virtually nothing else from any of those books.

2.5 was terrible, specifically Player's Option. Combat & Tactics moved to demanding a grid instead of theatre of the mind; Skills & Powers led to ridiculous min-maxing the likes that was eclipsed only by 3.5's ridiculousness, and Spells & Magic made magic stupidly OP with non-vancian styles that still didn't capture the sword & sorcery elements but just went full videogame with MP as I recall.

I just backed I Made You a Mixtape on @Kickstarter ?ref=android_thanks_twitter_share

Very much enjoyed my play of I Made You a Mixtape from @michaeldilisio and Dan Hughes . Super quick to learn and play, with a great theme and fantastic look by Gary King. Recommended!
