Maybe show Tywin but book Tywin has some bs Batman plot nonsense levels of scheming. He sends a minor lord's daughter to seduce Rob Stark, maybe drug him, while he is wounded from battle, knowing Rob will marry her instead of having a bastard child because of his psychological hang up of Ned Stark having a bastard son, the only stain on his father's honor, thus breaking his pledge to Walter Frey, thus allowing him to convince Frey to murder Rob.

@Diacritic Charles Dance was the worst miscast in the entire series tbh. He's the reason most people think Tywin is some hypercompetent genius, while he's actually just literally Joffrey who got to grow old.

Tywin wasn't and has never been any kind of genius tactically or strategically. What he is is *completely unbound by social mores* in ways Westeros largely can't respond to. The reason no one else ever pulled a Red Wedding is that *you don't do that*, not that it's clever.

Catelyn Stark negotiated the Frey marriage, warned Robb that his Bannermen could leave him, warned him that Roose Bolton is untrustworthy, warned him to not abandon the Frey marriage, argued against executing the Karlstarks etc.
By the time she released Jaime she believed that three of her 5 children were dead and the fourth held as a hostage. Give her some slack.

@Andrewnsnyder Peter Jackson’s name still carries weight. This is a rare case where I would have enjoyed this movie more if it hadn’t gotten a theatrical release. Or increase the animation budget by 30+ million.
