Investors on the #NGX did not respond positively or negatively to the N8.75 final dividend declared by Zenith today. The share price opened and closed at N103 today though over 20m units exchanged hands. Food for thought !!!

I like the rivalry between GTCO and Zenith. Everyone looks at the dividend without any further consideration. But here are some critical points: Main difference is Zenith with 41+ billion shares has 5 billion more shares outstanding than GTCO’s 36 billion. GTCO suffered a decline in PAT compared to Zenith’s growth in PAT. Again, this shows the superior efficiency of GTCO and at the same time, shows the superior earning power of Zenith with a PAT of N1.26T Vs GTCO’s N865.75 billion PAT. Nice rivalry once again.
