As your State Representative for Texas House District 64, I'm proud to offer eligible students the chance to apply for the Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program (TASSP). This is a great opportunity to help fund your college education while preparing for a career of service and leadership in our country’s military.
Through TASSP, selected students can receive up to $30,000 per academic year (or the cost of attendance, whichever is less) for up to four years to cover expenses at eligible Texas nonprofit colleges or universities.
In return, recipients participate in an officer commissioning program (such as ROTC) and commit to a contract to serve as a commissioned officer in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces or commit to serving at least four years as a commissioned officer in one of the following:
•Texas Army National Guard
•Texas Air National Guard
•Texas State Guard
•U.S. Coast Guard
•U.S. Merchant Marine
