At least 20,000 children in Gaza have been killed. The British government continues to supply arms to Israel, even after scores of NHS doctors warned Keir Starmer in August that children were being systematically executed with sniper shots to the head. Instead of defending innocent people or the principles of international law, the powerful in Britain have abetted slaughter and famine. @jsalanwilson The UK brought in a law in 2024 ensuring that service charges and tips are fair and transparent. While there are no laws on how much they charge, the service charges should be distributed amongst staff. So if they’ve charged 12% then no to a tip

So a (fairly average) restaurant adds a 12% service charge to the bill and then invites you to add a tip: what do you do?

Day 93/365 : Josh has returned home for Easter

Day 92/365 : sorry playing catch-up on posts. After a church youth weekend, it’s good to spend a few hours with the young lad. And he beat me.

Day 91/365 : Exodus team night away. We decided to go to Curry’s Portrus

Day 90/365 : who ever thought such a thing existed, and works. Hot cross bun bread & butter pudding. Yum at Noble, Holywood.

Day 89/365 : since COVID I’ve not had any regular visits to RVH. Today I will admit that I have not missed these queues. And then to find out that my parishioner had been transferred to the City Hospital…..

Day 88/365 : it’s been too long since our Boys’ Brigade has been able to have their Displays due to COVID. A great night, another one tomorrow night.

Day 83/365 : it’s great to see the schools opening up more and more to assemblies & classes again. It took some time after the pandemic. Ballynure Primary this morning.

Day 82/365 : today was another prep day for my visit to Nairobi, Kenya in May. Languages were never my strongpoint, but so far Swahili seems ok.
