People need to understand that opinions can be wrong. This idea that an opinion is just that and is neither right or wrong is hog wash. Opinions most certainly can be wrong and more often are in today's society cause people form them based on emotion and not sound facts.

So the argument is basically: “incest was genetically safe back then because humans were magically more genetically perfect.” That’s not science, that’s retrofitting biology to protect a story. Funny to see another round of mental gymnastics just to defend the claim. A few problems with your logic/mental gymnastic: 1. Genetics does not work that way. Inbreeding increases the chance of harmful recessive mutations expressing themselves. That’s true for humans, animals, and every sexually reproducing population we study. There is no scientific evidence that ancient humans were once “genetically pure” and immune to inbreeding depression. 2. Human genetics actually shows the opposite. - Modern population genetics indicates humanity never came from just two individuals a few thousand years ago. The amount of genetic diversity humans have today requires a much larger ancestral population, not one couple and their incestuous children. 3. Lifespans of 900 years have zero biological evidence. No fossils, medical evidence, or known biological mechanism supports humans living nearly a thousand years. Aging is driven by DNA damage, telomere shortening, disease accumulation, and cellular limits. There’s no evidence humans suddenly dropped from 900-year lifespans to 80. 4. “Cain built a city” creates another contradiction. A city requires a substantial population. If humanity supposedly began with one tiny family, where exactly did all these extra people come from? 5. The argument constantly changes the rules to protect the story. - incest is immoral now, but acceptable then - genetics works differently then - humans magically lived 900 years then That’s not science. That’s special pleading, INVENTING EXCEPTIONS whenever the narrative runs into a problem.

Curious how Christians explain this without mental gymnastics.
