@InMetsWeTrust Something needs to change. They’re not making any drastic trades in April. It’s just not happening because no TEAMS are gonna make that happen. Stearns isn’t going anywhere because Stevie isn’t gonna run the team alone. Mendoza is the only option here.
English

@SleeperYankees @SleeperMets Yankees have nothing the Mets need. Although, trading Lindor isn’t the worst thing ever. Seems to be the last piece this team needs to move on from.
English

@cape_wrestles There’s a ton of potential on both ends. The MFT characters just work and you can tell there’s more to their story coming
English

@SteveRich1892 @WrestleFeatures @RhodesKotaEra Nikki Cross. Extremely talented, never got any chance to wrestle.
English

@WrestleFeatures @RhodesKotaEra Former World Champ…? Who?
English

@RhodesKotaEra Took them off of TV for a bit after their debut. The supernatural stuff just doesn’t work in WWE anymore. It’s too real. Characters like Undertaker are long gone. They had a good tag team run but WWE butchered the division for some reason.
English

@TheAthleticMLB @Ken_Rosenthal Carlos Mendoza should definitely be on that chopping block. There’s no way that Mendoza can take 2 well built Stearns rosters and turn them both into hot garbage.

It's firing season in MLB.
We surveyed our staff and people in the game for managerial candidates to watch in the next cycle — either now, or when full-time jobs come open after the season.

@NYM_News No, he got kicked out for screaming “F Mendoza” as he said in the video. It had nothing to do with the intent and everything to do with the vulgar language he was using in the stands. Cmon Jaron I thought we were done with this bs reporting?
English

Warning to #Mets fans: apparently calling for a manager to be fired or showing frustration after 12 straight losses now “violates the code of conduct.”
Embarrassing to see Citi Field security treating fans like this, especially on a chilly night for the worst team in baseball rn.
English

@RealMetsFanClub Pay a 35 year old, .220 hitter OR trust your youth with better defense numbers and AVG production. The only thing you can’t replace is the power he has. 100 RBI seasons is hard to find. But most of his RBIs and HR tend to come when it doesn’t matter. (This HR was in a 7-0 game).
English

@JonHeyman People always say how bad these deals are but don’t actually understand that he’s getting roughly a few million more than contract renewals and arbitration. By the time he’s a FA, his contract offers him a “QO” number. And then after is like he signed a 3y/~85M deal.
English

@Damnllama @MetsMuse Let’s ALSO not forget that he offered a BAG for Tucker and he signed with LA, even if ur mad about Diaz, he offered barely less, and Pete wasn’t worth the money he was asking for. Home run king sure, but hitting .220 isn’t helping. Nk other big name FA were even out there…
English

@Damnllama @MetsMuse What else did you want Stearns to do? Grabbed the best SS on the market and made him a 3B, traded for Peralta (an ace), signed 2 top backend bullpen arms. Are we mad that we traded 2 aging players and didn’t sign our closer who can’t figure it out in LA?
English

@VitaMan333 @SuperUncCiti @MetsMuse Ah yes let’s replace our MLB manager with the AAA guy who didn’t get a job in the big leagues for a reason…
English

@SuperUncCiti @MetsMuse I would just bring up their AAA Manager until the end of the season
English

@SleeperMets Always has been. Did this last year too then fell off hard.
English

@SleeperMets Disagree. Hes been a good manager for what it’s worth. I don’t think there’s any reason to change who’s at the helm AGAIN. Can’t build culture like that. Lindor would have played in NY for 7 seasons under 4 managers. That’s crazy!!!!
English

@thats_bb_suzyn It’s unfortunate to say but the Mets got a cheaper option with the same defensive production.
English

If only the Mets could find a durable 1B who never gets hurt and plays all 162 games

Anthony DiComo@AnthonyDiComo
Jorge Polanco has a little bit of an Achilles issue, per Carlos Mendoza. He's still good to DH, but the Mets are being cautious with him.
English

@SleeperMets @SleeperMLB Technically Soto isn’t different. He’s just got a new position. Alvy also is now the starter
English

INSANE.
Nine of the 10 Mets starting position players on Opening Day for the Mets will be different from 2025.
C: Francisco Alvarez(Torrens)
1B: Jorge Polanco(Alonso)
2B: Marcus Semien(Acuna)
SS: Francisco Lindor
3B: Bo Bichette(Mark Vientos)
LF: Juan Soto(Nimmo)
CF: Luis Robert Jr(Taylor)
RF: Carson Benge(Soto)
SP: Freddy Peralta(Clay Holmes)
H/T @Metsmerized

English

@OnyxOdds @JeffPassan It made sense for the time. But definitely set the Mets back a good 10 years at CF. Nimmo wasn’t the answer, and neither was anyone else the Mets had at that position since 2021. Robert might be the best one since but even then, that’s not guaranteed
English

@JeffPassan Gotta start talking about this trade as one of the biggest fleeces in recent history
