Today I turn 41. And my husband and kids had this beautiful metal sculpture made for me. (You knew I was cicada obsessed.) My pics don't do it justice. It's just stunning. The artist is Asheville based Mel Bennett.

Only 60 pages into it, but LMAO every other page of Percival Everett's "The Trees." It's about dark stuff, but Everett has so much fun shootin' redneck fish in a barrel. Best read in a long time. Props to Graywolf and Everett for such brilliance.

@AmberB523 I’m also generally happy in my own company. A few years ago I went golfing by myself. When I told my mom she started laughing and said even as a young boy I’ve always found ways to entertain myself. Take care of yourself.

1. Yesterday, after my workout I got into my truck and was over come with emotions. I sat in my truck for about an hour and a half and cried. I wanted to go for a walk around Greenlake, go out to breakfast, etc. All I know is I didn’t want to be alone.
