@Michael_Moroz_ @playcanvas This looks awesome, Ive loved putting my splats in VRC to share with friends, but the rough performance means ive had to limit splats to like 500k max, if I could render a few million with the same performance that would be a game changer
English

Working on @playcanvas style LODs for gaussian splats in my VRChat plugin. I really want to get 100M scale splats working in VRC, but the constraints are quite intimidating.
Everything needs to be inside frag+vert shaders for performance. Udon# is too slow.

@TRDenTechs Will it be available for Android?
English

D.R.A.F.T. VR now has VRChat OSC support!
This means standalone users can run the tracking on a lower-end computer and still bring trackers into VRChat.

the trailer for d.r.a.f.t. VR is now live! full body tracking in VRChat using Kinects & iPhones, built with custom trained ML models.

@nhlfnafgamer By the end of the month assuming there aren't any issues that prevent it.
English

@Rexykibus $20 Kinect + <$20 software vs $300 of base stations + $500 of trackers. That's a totally fair comparison 😉
English

@WareWolfVT It's not really necessary, just wearing clothing that contrasts your background is enough.
English

@TRDenTechs I have a question. Would adding tracking points (like stickers or maybe fbt straps with the markers) help increase tracking quality? Cause I wouldn’t mind doing that if it helped tracking quality. I’m sure others would as well.
English

@OrangeCremeBar @Devvoidborn The Kinect v2 uses a lot of bandwidth and additionally has an issue where you can only use one per USB controller. Therefore to use two you need an additional pcie USB controller.
English

@TRDenTechs would a single Kinect be ideal
English

@NightmareD4n15h Fusion supports either 2x Kinect v2 or 1x Kinect v2 + 1 Kinect 360
English

@TRDenTechs Does this work with multiple Kinects?
or only kinects?
English

@Devvoidborn 2x kinect v2s will be significantly better, but a bit more difficult to setup due to needing a PCIE card. the iphone depth sensor only runs at 15fps and has 1/4th the resolution of the kinect v2.
English

@TRDenTechs Is an IPhone 17 Pro or 2 Kinect V2s better for tracking?
English

@TRDenTechs Will you work on making it compatible with latest android devices too?
English

@GOVERN0FEDERAL Yep, the app works almost the same with a single kinect, youll just have to be more mindful of occlusion and facing the sensor.
English

@TRDenTechs i'm using a kinect 360 and amythst
with just one kinect i can lean down, sit, dance or whatever better than amythst?
English

@IngenicVR Base stations will have higher accuracy, higher refreshrate, and lower performance impact, but the benefit of my software is its more accessible and doesnt require you to wear trackers. I used to have base stations but got annoyed with interference.
English

@TRDenTechs so can I replace my base stations with cheap old kinects and it'll work?
English

@migero_usausagi on my system it uses about 15% cpu and 10-15% gpu depending on the model quality. Ive had testers on lower end nvidia (rtx 3060 ti) and amd (rx 9060xt) gpus report similar performance impact.
English

@MintiestKitKat Im not aware of any popular android phones with accessible depth sensors unfortunately. If there were, I would add support in a heartbeat.
English

@LucieBlackrose No, it would be difficult to sync them and I think the depth sensors would interfere with each other as well
English

@_ViolaLayne_ The models in my app are much more capable than the Kinect SDK ones used by d4vr and amethyst
English

@TRDenTechs I remember using Kinect4VR and another one like it years ago. The only thing that made my Kinect worth it for FBT was using "color calibration". I used some LED slap bracelets and it helped alot.
English

@AsgardAGI No, because of the type of depth sensor they use, they would interfere with each other.
