I’ve become more introverted with age. But it’s not that I like people less. It’s just that I have higher standards for the depth of connection that I want with people. And lower tolerance for the surface transactional relationships that have become so common.

Every era has its greatest sins and injustices. Porn and abortion are among ours. Both objectify the human person, one using and abusing, one destroying. Happy to see a movement of people searching for God. Keeping praying 🙏

Which do you lean toward — confidence or humility? Most of us default to one or the other. Some of us shrink back when we should speak up. Some of us push forward when we should stop and listen. Neither extreme serves the people around us well. The goal isn't to pick one, it's to grow in both. Which one do you need to work on?

I am shocked that some of my former Republican colleagues on the Oversight Committee are supporting pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell. The Epstein survivors are adamantly against her receiving a pardon as she was one of their main abusers next to Jeffrey Epstein and they say she is a serial liar. If Trump gives her a pardon, it sets up a very potential quid pro quo. She will owe Trump and she will lie to protect people he ask her to. Instead the DOJ and local prosecutors with jurisdiction should be prosecuting the rich powerful elites who raped and trafficked these brave survivors when they were just teenagers and young vulnerable women. Why is this so complicated???

@Paula_White Fear, ego, groupthink, anger, ideology… those things can steer people off course. These are the "bad" spirits. People still make choices. They’re not puppets.

Remember good people can be influenced by "bad" spirits- you are not wrestling against flesh and blood (Eph 6:12)

That’s where the “peace” shows up. Some people call that spiritual. Others call it alignment, discipline, or mental conditioning.

Here’s the real truth… Meditation is not mental—it is deeply spiritual. When you meditate on the Word of God, your mind is renewed, your heart is strengthened, and His presence becomes real. True peace is found when your thoughts rest on Him.

I am starting to question Christianity ❗️ Nobody really told me this is what Christianity is about 😭 I honestly didn’t understand what I was signing up for, and now I’m starting to question my whole decision of becoming a true Christian. Nobody told me that once you become a true Christian, you get “assigned” to the Holy Spirit, like He just moves in and becomes the landlord of your whole life. And this Landlord? Ah. Too many rules 😭 “Don’t do this.” “Don’t say that.” “Don’t even think it.” Excuse me?? Even my thoughts are now under surveillance?? Nobody told me anger will now be illegal. Before, I used to express myself freely 😌 Now it’s: “Be calm… be patient… pray for them…” Pray for who?? The same person that annoyed me?? 😭 Nobody told me small lie will now feel like I committed a federal crime. Before, it was “just a tiny lie.” Now my conscience is shouting like police siren 🚨 Nobody told me I can’t even enjoy my old lifestyle in peace again. The same things I used to do freely now come with instant guilt package. Nobody told me gossip will turn into prayer request. Before: “Come let me tell you what she did…” Now: “Father Lord, bless her and guide her…” God abeg 😭 Nobody told me when someone offends me, instead of showing them my full Jezebel reaction, I’ll just smile like a customer care agent, pray silently, and walk away. Who trained me like this?? Nobody told me if I don’t pray or read my Bible, my whole day will feel somehow, like something is missing, like I forgot my Inhaler at home. I won’t rest until I pray. Nobody told me humility will just land on my head like this. Me that used to carry pride like designer bag, now I’m humble like someone applying for a visa 😭 Nobody told me some places I used to enjoy, like clubs, will now feel like I mistakenly entered another planet. I’ll just be there like: “What am I even doing here?” Honestly… nobody told me I won’t even be able to sin in peace again 😭 Now every day is: “Try again.” “Do better.” “Grow.” Ah. @YouVersion Luke 5:16, the point isn’t ritual, it’s rhythm. If you never step back, you lose clarity. If you lose clarity, you start pouring from empty. Rest isn’t weakness. It’s maintenance for alignment. This week? Block time like it matters… because it does.

Even Jesus withdrew to rest and recharge (Luke 5:16), showing us the importance of stepping away to refuel. When you pause to care for your soul, you’re not quitting—you’re aligning with God’s design for your life. Let Him fill you so you can pour out His love to others. As we potentially barrel haplessly towards the singularity, I sometimes worry about the removal of friction from everyday life. Friction has two important psychological functions: 1) It acts as a filtration system, forcing us to each stop and think what is worth our limited time and attention. Remove friction and you remove the filtration, granting our attention to the highest clickbait bidder. 2) Struggle is where life’s meaning gets manufactured. It's the fact that it's so difficult to compromise in a long-term relationship that makes it so powerful when you stay together. By removing friction from every area of life, we are removing the opportunity for people to build the muscle of meaningful struggle.

@ValaAfshar People stay stuck because they keep replaying old decisions with new wisdom and calling it failure. It’s not failure. It’s how learning works. Hard to forgive yourself for something you literally hadn’t learned yet. Growth doesn’t come before the lesson.
