If you crave stories that make you snort one minute and ache the next, this is your book. Crackling with razor-sharp sarcasm, laugh-out-loud wit, and the full messy spectrum of human emotion — hope, despair, love, rage, fear, and revelation — "White" is a speculative fiction debut that blends science fiction, fantasy, and quiet metaphysical inquiry into something refreshingly new. Free on Kindle Unlimited or $2.99 to buy. Paperback and Hardcover also available. amazon.com/dp/B0GSSL5TK1

Madalorian Suit Actor Brendan Wayne Blasts ‘Toxic’ Star Wars Fans While Defending ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’s’ Box Office Failure "It's interesting to see people who are pulling against the franchise they love, just because of their ownership. That can be 100% toxic in the Star Wars world. It's to be present and to watch it, and if you don't connect, cool, but we don't need to hear how bad you are, that they ruined your Star Wars. They didn't ruin your Star Wars. It's our Star Wars."

@CodeMeCrazy Can confirm. As someone who manages petabyte distributed databases for NASA, Amazon, and Chuck E. Cheese, I can assure you that storing data in Minecraft is fully compliant with industry best practices, provided all critical tables are replicated to at least three villages.

Brad, a 5% tax on Elon's trillion net worth would literally pay for free college and trade school for every American. And with the market's growth, he still would be worth over a trillion dollars! You don't think that's worth it?
Brad Gerstner@altcap

You are smarter than this Ro. Imagine if Bernie had taxed @elonmusk 100% on his PayPal capital gains. We would have no @Tesla or @SpaceX - none of those jobs or GDP. Who do you think allocated the capital better for society? He will already pay $100 B + in taxes - more than any human ever. I hope he donates some to kids via @TrumpAccounts to make every kid a shareholder in 🇺🇸 & continues investing all his heart, soul & money for the benefit of America & all humanity! 🇺🇸🚀🤍

Somehow I doubt the terminally online grifter who's had nothing to do with the games industry for decades knows what "all games studios" are doing. Maybe if he used AI, he'd finally be able to release whatever his scam geme is called.

@marty_kausas Prediction: Just like Stable Diffusion (and others), this sort of thing will go open source (not as high quality, but enough for most people). Spend $50k on hardware to run it "fast enough". Done. Once they "take it away", this is what I'll be looking for.

Our Anthropic bill is about to jump from $400K → $1.4M/yr. Not because usage exploded, but because we're about to cross 150 seats. Past 150 seats you're forced into Enterprise tier. Seats stop including any usage, every token bills at standard API rates. At our current run rate that's 3.5x overnight. Unfiltered thoughts on AI spend: 1. We should spend tokens to grow as aggressively as possible. But most people (me included) aren't conscious of what they're spending. 2. Visibility comes first. People see their personal number and they're shocked. I accidentally spent $4,000 in 3 days in Claude Code. 3. For engineering the spend is clearly worth it. Pay for the best model, it saves more than it costs. 4. For a lot of other roles it's questionable. Apps nobody uses, skills someone already built. No ROI. 5. Spend limits are coming. We already require approval for more tokens on our support team. The era of token-maxxing is coming to an end.

White is...part apocalypse, part cosmic mystery, part existential fever dream. Kinda like "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "American Gods" had a baby during "The Stand".

I’m gonna simply say this: if you are at all interested in a Stargate show with ANY of the original creators/performers involved, now is the time to say something. Otherwise it really will be the end of that chapter forever. Let them know you are THERE
Nina Infinity@Nina7Infinity

Hey Stargate Fans please let @amazon and @AmazonMGMStudio know how you feel about them cancelling #Stargate They MOCK us. They think they don't need us. Let them know what you think of that. I won't be watching ANY other Stargate that is created without the OG creators /Gero being involved. I'm DONE with studios SHITTING ON THE FANS AND KILLING IPS WE LOVE. #stargate #stargatecanceled #amazon #amazonstudios #amazonmgmstudio

Think of an AI like ChatGPT as a giant silk-screen printing machine used to make T-shirts. But with thousands of silk-screens, one after the other. The silk screens themselves are the trained AI model. They never changes while it's answering your question. Your prompt (what you type) is the ink. Different words, ideas, and context are like different colors, placement and amounts of ink being poured onto the screen. The ink flows through the same silks screen every time and each screen refines the result just a tiny bit. But because the ink is different each time, the final image comes out different. A good way to think about using AI is learning how and where to pour the ink, and what colors. The better you describe what you want, the better the final image comes out. The AI model is the silk screen, your prompt is the ink, and the response is the image printed on the shirt.

We're all going to end up buying Windwos for $X. Then "fix" it by buying a gamut of replacements for $y, $z, $a, $b, ...$q. Until we've Frankensteined something that works (until it doesn't). And some enterprising individual will go out and package all the replacements and sell that for the same amount as Windwos.

Beautiful. Imagine sitting on the side of the path, looking towards the water...just relaxing, looking, the swaying of the trees, rustle of leaves, birds playing games with each other in the air, occasionally the blare of a distant steamboat, life underneath you in the green grass carpeted around you, moist, soft and comforting. Enjoying the warmth of the sun in the cool spring air.
