A cool momento arrived today from @winstonsprtslaw. I’m lucky to have helped start and work on this historic case after leaving the NCAA and for being a small part of a great team in changing college sports forever. #9-0

SCOOP: @Overtime has hired @TimNevius, the former @NCAA enforcement official-turned-athlete-crusader, as its Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Athlete Advocacy. Nevius was a major behind-the-scenes legal part in Alston v. NCAA. sportico.com/leagues/colleg…

Don’t have influencer level follower counts? No problem. @LukeyBonner and @TimNevius discuss the many options available for college athletes to monetize their Name, Image, and Likeness (#NIL). (Nothing in this video should be construed as legal advice.)

My biggest fans pointing out the one million mark. I think my sister is responsible for 500k of these views. Couldn’t be more grateful for their love and support. ❤️ @mocanev ted.com/talks/tim_nevi…

@heitner Unfortunately, the @NCAA is pretty broad in how it views these situations and schools have an obligation to address it or face potential violations. It’s a backwards rule system, but that hasn’t deterred the NCAA from enforcing it to the detriment of the athletes.

@TimNevius But that’s not use on a commercial item nor to promote a commercial product. Also a ridiculous rule to put the onus on the athlete.

College athletes cannot currently sign endorsement deals. But that doesn’t prevent companies from expressing their desire to sign agreements at the start of July. Not a bad PR strategy.. onlineathens.com/story/sports/c…
