I didn't change my diet. I didn't start exercising. I just drank 3.5 liters of water a day. Day 1: I started going to the bathroom constantly. The smell was shocking. Sulfur. Something wrong was finally finding the exit. I didn't panic. I leaned in. Over the next few days, the smell neutralized. And as it did, I felt lighter. Energetic. Awake in a way I hadn't been in years. My body was clearing something. The smell said so. Science has names for it. I didn't need them yet. For me, this was the first domino. I was 297 lbs.
