Sometimes people wonder if they would be courageous enough to stand against a tyrannical government. The vaccine mandate & social pressure tested that resolve in us. I'm proud that I took a stand and now know that I do have that courage. #unvaccinated

@detrimen_tal @ClanTheSpursFan We've become so polarized as a nation that some people hold their identity flag above the nation's flag. Some don't recognize our flag at all. Identity nights in sports only exasperated this division within the nation.

@detrimen_tal @ClanTheSpursFan I don't want a lgbtq+ flag at my sporting event as much as I don't want a confederate flag at the same event. I would like to see a unifying message, such as the American flag that serves as a unity of all citizens.

@detrimen_tal @ClanTheSpursFan In any of these celebrations of identity groups, there seems to be an isolation effect to focus solely on perceived obstacles of said identity group rather than a celebration of unity among the nation.

@detrimen_tal @ClanTheSpursFan Good question. I would say that I think tribalism within a nation creates divisions that will fracture the nation's ability to maintain. Artificially creating division isn't sustainable for a nation to exist.

@detrimen_tal @ClanTheSpursFan This is where sports and identity politics could intersect. Players have the right to share their stories if I agree or not. It feels more organic. Less like a corporation pushing an agenda.

@detrimen_tal @ClanTheSpursFan Very true. Sports are a business and they are attempting to reach a larger audience by pandering to identity groups. The problem is that the pandering hasn't worked. Ratings are down for most sports.

@detrimen_tal @ClanTheSpursFan I would prefer good faith conversation around political and cultural issues. These arguments can be complex from multiple perspectives. I think logic should dictate such issues rather than feelings associated with public spectacles.

@WorkingPolitic @ClanTheSpursFan i could go on for a while. i am fundamentally saying that no ideology is neutral or axiomatic. your assertion that it *should* be doesn't mean that it *is*--and the question of whether you can enforce that assertion is a matter of political power

@detrimen_tal @ClanTheSpursFan In America, I would say that military appreciation is a response to the treatment of Vietnam veterans & is primarily used as a means to separate celebrating the individual service members rather than the current mission.

@dvorstone He's too nice. She's sexually repulsed because he's not edgy enough for her. She will go outside of the marriage to meet her needs because she doesn't respect him and he doesn't demand respect. It's a doomed marriage as she lost attraction to him.

Sigh... Listen, you have to arouse your wife. She's not "uninterested" in sex. She's uninterested in you. Whatever your dynamic, it doesn't arouse her. Liking someone is not the same thing as being aroused by them. Surprise! You actually have to figure out what arouses her (and vice-versa, by the way). If you want your wife to dutifully perform for you absent arousal, which is what all of these posts seem to suggest, then the failure is on you. A man has to figure out what arouses his wife, and then do that.
