Ubisoft says the story in Assassin’s Creed Shadows didn’t connect with players the way it hoped. To address that, the game’s final free update, called Black Tides, adds about two hours of new story content and gives Naoe and Yasuke what Ubisoft calls the “real ending” to their adventure. The update wraps up loose ends, improves some criticized story elements, and sets up the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Gamepass and exclusives can coexist, but tent pole titles like CoD, Gears, Halo, ES, FO, Forza Horizon, Fable, Doom, etc. cannot be day and date. Smaller titles, yes because they need the engagement. Non day and date games will come to Gamepass a year after launch, much like MW4 is doing.

I wouldn't quite go that far but I'm not sure Game Pass can coexist (in its current form) with the return of exclusives, unless those exclusives are driving serious subs. The only thing I can think of coming up that might do that would be TES6. Would Asha dare make it exclusive?

Let's look at the studios: Compulsion Games: One game in 7 years and you could beat it in 10 hours. Worthless is an understatement. Ninja Theory: All they had was Senu adventures and a shitty fighting game over the last 10 years. All could be beat in less than 7 hours. Had potential, but never got there. Double Fine: All they had to do was make Brutal Legend 2 and Psychonauts 3. What did they do instead? Made C rated indi trash. Another worthless studio. On the chopping block: Arkane. Why? Blade was announced in 2023 and yet they aren't close to finishing in 2026. Most likely canceled and the studio will be shutdown.
