What do we know from UAE manager Mauro Gianetti about Tadej Pogačar’s 2026 schedule: Tour is a must and the biggest goal of the season. There is no other possibility. Gianetti wants a lighter spring schedule, skipping Roubaix and Amstel in order to keep Pogačar fresh physically but also mentally for the Tour. Gianetti also says he would rather see Pogi skipping Roubaix because it is too much risk for the Tour preparation. But Pogačar declared Sanremo and Roubaix as his biggest goals so Roubaix won’t be skipped. Vuelta will be almost definitely skipped for the next 2 years as Gianetti says combining Tour-Vuelta-Worlds is impossible. The Worlds are simply a much bigger goal than the Vuelta and the profile suits Pogi perfectly for the next 2 editions. And the European Championships in Slovenia is a must and it made the decision about Vuelta even easier. So don’t expect some extremely big changes compared to this season. 📷: @tornanti_cc
