In October, the DMV will be closing their Laguna Hills location leaving only three remaining DMV offices in San Clemente, Santa Ana & Costa Mesa. Currently, walk-ins at Laguna Hills wait hours (and are often turned away). Appointments are months out. This closure is ridiculous.

I just spoke with a friend I haven’t spoken to in a bit who does not follow politics regularly. The friend just watched a replay of Trump’s Saturday night Michigan speech on CSPAN and called to tell me it was the most unhinged thing ever (the exact words were “WTF WAS THAT”). This friend is an actual “conservative” who was in shock that the media is not covering how crazy this is. I told the friend that’s why MeidasTouch Network has grown so fast because people just want the facts and feel gaslighted! This reminded me that a lot of people still aren’t getting the news, and we all have a big role to play in making sure people get the actual data since it MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE. @Paleophile We both got it over new years/my birthday. We didn’t even go out, hubby must have got it picking up carryout. We’re fine now, we didn’t get it too badly this time but . . .ugh. 103 degree fever with paxlovid onboard.

@DonlinDesign @brijanp This x 1000–this is a critical skill that separates good from great designers. Clients need to feel heard but don’t always have the vocab to express themselves — that’s your job. Ask the right questions.

@brijanp Agreed, it takes some skill to talk them through it and get to the bottom of “why” they don’t feel it. It’s an important soft skill

@bonniekatewolf If I have one bit of advice for founders, stop stressing about it and over focusing on it. Find the good enough, at some point in the future you’ll discover the great. This is one way some founders self-sabotage. Also eventually hire someone, you need a third party perspective,

@inminivanhell @weathertrackus I lived through a tornado, with no warning, we will likely not have huge warnings so know this. They sound like a freight train, and the house will shake like an earthquake, but the ground won’t move. You feel these things, closet, bathtub, middle of the house. Take cover.

@Paleophile Each test (manuf) is proprietary, so it depends on the test. Is not public info. They all detect slightly different parts of the virus. I was sick last weekend and looked it up. I don't have the original source. But it's accurate info. Concerned? Get a PCR.

@rsanderlin @markpollard I do this. But I give out my mobile (text only, urgent only). Clients can only get me on a single communications platform, typically email or slack. Not both. (Some exceptions obv.) Before this I used a virtual asst to screen. If someone doesn’t respect this, hold firm.

I work with a team of about 8 freelancers every week in the cloud. I find it exhausting. Slack, emails, calendar notifications, software upgrade, software asking for reviews and surveys, increases in prices, being forced into drip campaigns, finding files. What's the way out?

@Paleophile Re:the surgery. There is talk of exploration while she’s under but I am hesitant to do anything that would increase her suffering/recovery time without good justification. Did you go down this path?
