Today I’ve spent a whole half minute to do some calculations. I’ve used my fingers, calculator and four different sources of ai to confirm the number and it came out that my average entry price for my ascended heroes ETBs is $105/ea. People saying that I won’t make it in life when I was buying them for $120 were probably right. Gio

There's a thing called Opportunity cost. I present to you, 151 Pokemon Center ETBs at $107 on August 1, 2024. Shrouded Fable launched on this date. People buying the "underrated" Shrouded Fable Set at closer to MSRP got absolutely rekt when they could have just bought 151 ETBs. Do we see something similar today? Unpopular opinion: Chaos Rising has some of the best art we’ve seen in the modern Mega Evolution sets of Pokémon cards. I fully understand that besides Greninja, Chaos Rising doesn’t have the most popular featured Pokémon in its upcoming IR/SIR lineup. HOWEVER, I’d argue the set has more dynamic colors and storytelling elements present than in most of the ME era of cards Just look at them.

Nah, Pokemon cards just started in the late 90s. It was a after thought to the games. A card crash similar to what's going on with Pokemon right now did happen in the 90s with Sports cards. People are hoarding unopened sets and it's about to cause The Pokemon Company to overprint to combat scalping. Just like the sports cards companies did in the 90s and caused a crash.

Hang on, doing some math here… The difference in content between a Pokémon Center ETB and a normal ETB are: • PC ETB has 2 more booster packs normal ETBs (2 x $19.17 = $38.34 current value) • PC ETB includes a stamped version of the ETB promo as well as the normal variation ($73.38 current value) So if the physical difference between the two boxes is $111.72 in value, how come the current different in prices is only $54.39? Keeping in mind that PC-stamped ETBs usually carry an additional price premium on top of all that, is the Paldean Fates PC ETB undervalued right now, or is the normal ETB overvalued? 🤔
