Thank god MCP is dead Just as useless of an idea as LLMs.txt was It's all dumb abstractions that AI doesn't need because AI's are as smart as humans so they can just use what was already there which is APIs

Founder of the Bloomberg Terminal explaining the function that makes it worth $30,000 a year:

Introducing Code Review, a new feature for Claude Code. When a PR opens, Claude dispatches a team of agents to hunt for bugs.

Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command. It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards. Automated snapshots were gone too. In the newsletter, I wrote the full timeline + what I changed so this doesn't happen again. If you use Terraform (or let agents touch infra), this is a good story for you to read. alexeyondata.substack.com/p/how-i-droppe…

The vast majority of MCP servers can just be replaced by CLIs. Change my mind.

New OpenAI repo: Symphony github.com/openai/symphony TLDR: it's an orchestration layer that polls project boards for changes and spawns agents for each lifecycle stage of the ticket You will just move tickets on a board instead of prompting an agent to write the code and do a PR
