Because it would inevitably have meant in practice supporting & coalescing around the Democratic party, who *are* the popular front. That's the bottom dollar.

These are the moments the left builds organizations to anticipate, these are the moments we prepare for. No more talk about being "beyond bandwidth" or "at capacity," we have to leave it all on the field. The role we were meant to play in history is happening *now*.

The moment is extremely dire, but it bear repetition that moments like these are where the left needs to demonstrate real leadership in battling the forces of consolidated capital and the fascist right

@mags_mclaugh My experience is that not having a caucus affiliation makes people more willing to talk to me about their Political Education ideas without thinking I’m going to enforce some political line. Internal organizing and deliberative democracy is great though!

Listening to NPR right now reporting on the NYC mayoral race and they are reporting how the early voting analysis is showing a younger electorate while not mentioning Mamdani once lolololol

This is the UC system’s union for their laboratory workers. There was a big story in the LA Times last late fall about how people were quitting right and left because of the conditions there. Meanwhile, the lab in Davis is the only one that can confirm #H5N1 For the ag sector.
