🚨EXC: Trump considering pulling US from Nato In my second interview with the president, Mr Trump said removing America from the alliance was now ‘beyond reconsideration’. Singling out the UK, the US president rebuked Sir Keir Starmer for refusing to get involved in the American-Israeli war against Iran, suggesting Britain's navy was not up to the task. “You don’t even have a navy. 🔥NEW - buried in the bundle of documents from the Humble Address Keir Starmer was advised by the cabinet secretary Simon Case to do security clearance BEFORE appointment but ignored the suggestion. Case said (If you want a political appointment) "you should give us the name of the person you would like to appoint and we will develop a plan for them to acquire the necessary security clearances and do due diligence on any potential Conflicts of Interest or other issues of which you should be aware *before* confirming you choice" Which feels quite material .....

The UK has dismissed claims by Donald Trump that a British vessel was “aimed at” by the Iranian military, who opened fire on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz this week. In his Truth Social post today, the US President warned if Iran refused America’s “very fair and reasonable” peace deal that the “United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran”. He added: “Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn't nice, was it?” The UK Government disputed the claim, with a spokesman telling me: "There have been no reports of UK vessels being attacked. We don't recognise this claim." The UKMTO also has not reported any British vessels having claimed to have been attacked by Iran.

There's lots confusion about who will lead the peace talks in Islamabad tomorrow. Trump told several reporters on phone calls this morning that JD Vance is not making the trip over security fears. Yet a White House official tells me the VP will indeed lead the second round of talks in Pakistan, alongside Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Karoline Leavitt now confirms to @JuliaManch

President Trump just told me Vance will not be going to Islamabad. He said the issue is security — the Secret Service couldn’t do it on 24 hours notice. “It’s only because of security,” he told me. “JD’s great.”
