This is the third letter of this kind we’ve had about our clients today. It states that HMRC believes our client are fraudulently claiming R&D relief, which is patently false. The letter is written in a threatening manner, and it is entirely baseless

@RowanMMcDade @antonythomps Yes also at ADR stage. I plan to take this all the way. Appalled at how they can approve then change their mind later because they chose to reinterpret guidelines. Keep me posted.

Yes and we’ve been ordered to pay back the inordinate sum of £72k The year prior we were able to claim. The following year we are accused of criminality. @dougalshawBBC good article on HMRC. My company has been under investigation for 18 months for legitimate R&D claim that they approved now they've chosen to reject because they're reinterpreting the guidelines Vs 2021.
