Hey twitter/x, one of my goals this year is to share more things that excite me with the world. I’m starting here so let me introduce myself: My name is Angelina, I’m 22, and I currently live in SF! For the past six months, I’ve been working at Meta Superintelligence Labs on model training infra and data strategy👩🏻‍💻 Before that I was at UCLA studying CS and Econ and spent a lot of my time in college building in fintech and investing in early stage companies (General Catalyst Venture Fellows, NEA, Mantis VC). I love food, traveling to new places, a good story, snowboarding, and hosting dinners and game nights🕺🏻 I also love meeting new people, feel free to say hi :)

@_ueaj I think this is the big issue that constantly screws over researchers at companies using lots of legacy infra

Wow I fucking hate RL research this is genuinely horrible dogshit. Like 99% of my time has been spent figuring out why my lora won't update on my inference server or other technical problems

Like for reference, if a certain part our your brain is activated during a satisfying or pleasurable experience, we should be aiming to have our products do the same, this may be the closest thing to objectively measuring meaningful product / design changes without extremely large sample sizes

When @karpathy built MenuGen (karpathy.bearblog.dev/vibe-coding-me…), he said: "Vibe coding menugen was exhilarating and fun escapade as a local demo, but a bit of a painful slog as a deployed, real app. Building a modern app is a bit like assembling IKEA future. There are all these services, docs, API keys, configurations, dev/prod deployments, team and security features, rate limits, pricing tiers." We've all run into this issue when building with agents: you have to scurry off to establish accounts, clicking things in the browser as though it's the antediluvian days of 2023, in order to unblock its superintelligent progress. So we decided to build Stripe Projects to help agents instantly provision services from the CLI. For example, simply run: $ stripe projects add posthog/analytics And it'll create a PostHog account, get an API key, and (as needed) set up billing. Projects is launching today as a developer preview. You can register for access (we'll make it available to everyone soon) at projects.dev. We're also rolling out support for many new providers over the coming weeks. (Get in touch if you'd like to make your service available.) projects.dev

I think Larsen is probably one of the best engineers on this website and thoroughly enjoy reading his blogs, but this take is kind of weird, wouldn’t you want to be rewarded what you are worth?

Got pretty bad sleep but hit PRs during my push day. Wondering if it has to do with decreased prefrontal cortex activity (less inhib) + baseline cortisol/adrenaline elevation that led to this perf increase. Anyone else experience this?

i have been reflecting a lot on the point of working a job, the point is to learn as fast as you can under a semi-structured environment and understand what problems actually exist, if you are working a job to make money, it will be hard to retain value from it

@dev_kunjadia I get scared talking to smart women. Over drinks I had a girl from Waterloo explain her thesis to me and I soiled myself. I tried to sneak out but the bartender saw me and told her
