I pulled 1M+ views on Reddit from promotional posts. Before that I got banned 3 times 😅 Most founders treat Reddit like Twitter. Reddit is NOT Twitter. Here's everything I learned about promoting on Reddit without getting destroyed: (TL;DR in the comments.) write something about product and post a link. Hope for the best. That's exactly how you get banned. Subreddits are more like WhatsApp groups. Tight communities. Regulars who notice everything. You're walking into their house. You can't just start selling. My experience rules Rule #1: Be a user first, not a marketer. Lurk. Read. Comment on other people's stuff. Understand the vibe. If you skip this step, nothing else works. Rule #2:

@devnaaath @ChadAppDev 😅 On Reddit, account age matters too.
I've heard that some people buy older Reddit accounts, but I'm not sure how effective that actually is.
English

@ajith_io @ChadAppDev I feel like my 2nd account got banned even though I was just commenting because I just went crazy on the volume of comments
Even though those were pretty valuable and got lots of upvotes
I will not be doing more than 5 comments to increase karma from now lol

@ChadAppDev If you spamming allover the place.. reconsider your reddit playbook..
Reddit only works if you know hownto write it without sounding Ad..
And every subreddit has it's own game..
Spend time on those subreddit become user before taking any action..

@Ldnbox If they had started with 5k customers, they only would have lost 6% of their revenue.
And they'd have a lot fewer headaches dealing with half the support tickets.
I see this as a win.

@BrianMRey Got it. Long term play it is
Btw. What's your MRR at the moment if you don't mind disclosing?
English

@devnaaath it takes like 4 months to get any traction.
but i’ve been doing it about 11 months
English

@devnaaath Yes. I have a lot of business background. Initial plan was to ship in 4 weeks, but had some technical challenges.
I'm happy to release early stage but it had to at least deliver the quality of work I expected. So that bolted on extra 2 weeks to sort out!

@devnaaath I'm not targeting any region as of now, just need low latency from any region.
As I'm early didn't want to waste more money setup in load balancer stuff
English

How do you handle latency over the region??
For my SaaS, I have deployed the frontend on Cloudflare Pages, while the backend and database are hosted on a VPS in the Mumbai region.
Users outside Asia are experiencing high latency because my server is located in Mumbai.
Is there any way to solve this? I know that adding load balancers and deploying across multiple regions would help, but I'm looking for more affordable solutions.
