@zachflipspages I loved Will of the Many. I think a lot of people feel strongly about the book because it doesn't fit comfortably in a genre-- it's not totally fantasy nor sci-fi nor alt-history. But I personally enjoyed that. I also like that it kept me guessing-- it didn't feel too trope-y.

‘Rhyming reduplication’ is an itsy-bitsy super-duper language quirk that is sure to razzle-dazzle. Rhyming reduplication appears to make words…sillier? -hanky-panky -okey-dokey -hurley-burley -hootchy-kootchy -boogie-woogie ⬇️

@athenaeumbc Add Tale of Genji and the Epic of Mwindo to the list. We need to decentralize the Western canon from the importance and necessity of literature.

@MinhazTweets @goodreads Take no one and nothing at face value. Harper Lee is a master at creating incredibly nuanced characters. Also, if you're not familiar with the tragic story of Emmett Till, I'd suggest reading up on that before reading, as it served as an inspiration for the novel.

@worilless67199 @goodreads There isn't a single book by Khaled Hosseini that hasn't managed to make me ugly cry. I envy anyone reading his works for the first time.

I'm grading my students' essays on To Kill A Mockingbird, and this is a quote from one of them: "I believe Atticus Finch is a bad person because. . .Atticus knows the system is broken but won't attack it and instead puts his faith in it and urges Tom to do the same." Hell yeah.
