@JeffreyBiles Wow, I thought it was just the drawing questions, but I just started another lesson and I have to "explain my reasoning" Good stuff!

MAJOR UPGRADE to our Physics I course This is unit 1. Notice anything different? Not only did we ~double the number of topics, each topic is also rewritten with better explanations and more diagrams and animations And the questions aren't just multiple choice anymore either.

@RaillyHugo @physicsgraph @JeffreyBiles @sutherlandphys Enjoying - been going for a month or so and I’m not that serious. It’s nice to apply some of the math concepts in a different space. They’re constantly improving it. Worth a shot - I think they have a free trial too.

@espressocoder @physicsgraph @JeffreyBiles hmm, that seem close enough to be marked correct. Do you remember why it was graded incorrect? Was it the first boundary being too corner like?

I think I recall this being the recalculation of the graph, but I don't remember it taking so long so often. Is it a function of how many users there are on mathacademy?

@hecker Congrats on another course done! I agree with your take on reviews. With MathAcademy hitting 100% on a course doesn’t mean you’re done like a traditional course where you may never see the material again. What’s next?

I (finally) finished Calculus II (my 6th Math Academy course) and wrote my usual update post on the experience: frankhecker.com/2026/02/08/mat…. Among other things, I have some thoughts about "review hell".

@KamStaszewski Cool I'll give it a shot. Winter has slammed us pretty well this year too, but hoping it'll let up soon. I have thoughts on assembling one too but would be nice to fly one a bit IRL first

@espressocoder The field that I used to fly over looks like this. I would be afraid to destroy it over the ice. I plan to assemble my own drone, a bigger one probably sub 250g.

Very basic setup for a newbie. Controller: Radiomaster Pocket ELRS Drone: BetaFPV Meteor75 pro Googles: BetaFPV VR03 Additional: 4x550 mAh batteries, there are 2 already in a box with drone. Charger so I can charge all 6 batteries at once. Total: ~1600 PLN, ~435 USD.

First flight done. Very stressful but I can tell it's very addictive. This huge plastic case is for all of my FPV stuff. It is cutting edge anti-cat technology. No cats allowed

Whats good guys. First day of what will be my last term in my cs degree. I have this math class that’s a mix of Calc 1 and Calc 2. I completed Calc 1 through mathacademy, I’m going to try out the gravity feature to complete the overlap lessons.

@DSDecoded @_MathAcademy_ Ah sorry it's a spaced repetition flash card system. Write the question on one side, answer on the other. There is a system of putting the ones you miss so that you see them more often, or of course there are apps for that.

Pausing to look up exact trig values is a source of frustration right now. Not having them memorized slows down my problem solving in the @_MathAcademy_ lessons that require them. Recalling them instantly would make my workflow much smoother than breaking my context. Are there any clever ways of memorizing them to ensure instant recall?
