you get to a point of realizing that everyone is just operating on the same foundational logic whether they're self-proclaimed terfs or not. an enby terf doesn't even faze me. i've encountered trans men who'd put the avg terf to shame. then there are the greatest pickmes alive

I’ve had a conversation with someone who identified as nonbinary but was transphobic and a TERF. It was the most strangest conversation, so I separate non-binary people from trans people because they told me “ywnbaw” while being nonbinary.

@Gigglemax stupid idea, but what if, you were at your fastest by default, but could slow down your movement, while also having a zoom (not ADS, but a regular zoom) + increased accuracy, kind of like focus in certain STGs, would this be a neat idea?

Sprint and ADS are so ingrained into people's brains that we've forgotten that you could even make a shooter game where the characters are their fastest by default and aim their best without staring down the iron sights

This reminds me of how people would criticize sprint mechanics when they started being added to FPS games. Essentially the argument was that because sprinting is a trade-off that leaves you unable to shoot, it has to actually be worth using - base walking speed has to be nerfed.

Clav is important in part precisely because he is so unhappy. What he is aspiring to is what our culture implicitly tells us is the ultimate good, his autism making that implicit explicit.

Interesting side effect of AI is discovering just how many people (most?) just want to be affirmed in everything they say or do. It’s not necessarily “good” for them (too much of it causes a psychotic episode) but it’s certainly something people crave and treat like a drug

@aMoral_Mistake people that have never been suicidal just wont get it. I dont think they know just how desensitized you get to ideation if you live with it most your life and its subsided to a more or less passive level, even if with oscillating intensity. if its 247 active suicidality then ok

So my therapist is actually not cool with reducing the amount of appointments each month, apparently "i still have mood swings" and "you get moderate to severe ideation when you are at your lows". Hogwash. I can work around ideation, i have been living with ideation for years.
