@launchbar hi ☺️ any know issues with the macOS Big Sur 11.7.6 (version)? I cannot get the insert to work at all. Like even just clicking on the snippet.
@launchbar It seems that if I copy the file name to the clipboard with Launch Bar and then try to paste it in the terminal with command-v it pastes the file path and name twice
e.g.
~/stuff/file.txt~/stuff/file.txt
What am I doing wrong?
@AlastairClimate@ecormany Select some file in LaunchBar, press Tab, select some folder, hit Return. Then you can choose from a bunch of file operations, including all sorts of links and aliases.
@mxgrn Yes, you are right, with Dvorak, Control-L conflicts with vi-style navigation shortcuts, which are based on the QWERTY layout. But you can turn them off in Settings → Shortcuts → Alternative Arrow Keys, by choosing “None”.
@launchbar Ah, great, then it might be a Dvorak issue, as it perfectly works in QWERTY, indeed. I hope you can easily reproduce it: switch to Dvorak, then ctrl-n (the L key on QWERTY) behaves as the right arrow. Thanks for looking into this!
In case you haven’t yet not noticed - you can now also reach us on Mastodon.

Would be nice to meet you over there!
@com@ptujec You probably mean that LaunchBar’s list oriented output (showing one line at the time) isn’t well suited for presenting multi-line results, right?
@launchbar It's become a standard, to be able to hit "ctrl-n/p" to go through the search result list. Most launchers do it now (checked Alfred, Raycast). Do you plan adding that?
Btw, thanks for the best fuzzy search implementation out there! The others aren't even close.
@jayashmen@wklj To solve this, LaunchBar provides a LIFO approach. You copy, copy, copy in reverse order, then paste, paste, paste (using the "Paste and remove from history" shortcut).
@wklj@launchbar i'd love to see a rework of the clipboard management functions... i just want it to work like... copy, copy, copy, paste, paste, paste. (buffer them all in, and let me paste out in FIFO)
@jayashmen@wklj The problem with FIFO is – how do you define "first"? If there are 300 items in your history you definitely don’t want to start pasting the one that was added "first".
@telepati You mean squishing the poor little icon into a quadratic cage to make it less distinguishable from other icons? Not very fond of this idea.
