@DougieCritchley He was very good when he joined. Things started going pear-shaped when he was arrested on holiday a few years back and the press piled in on him. Being Utd captain didn't suit him either and every mistake he made was over scrutinised. He been very consistent in recent years

If you're a neutral... I don't think you can be anything but delighted by Harry Maguire's new contract.
I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that in his first few seasons at United he was one of the most talked about players in the League.
But whilst players like Salah, De Bruyne, Van Dijk etc were attracting endless (and deserved) positive headlines...
Maguire was a figure of ridicule online. It was cruel. It was over the top.
Despite that constant focus, he always put it to one side to put in excellent performance after excellent performance for England, forming the most effective Three Lions centre-back partnership of my lifetime.
To bounce back from those initial lows at Old Trafford and earn another contract at United, taking him to his 34th birthday and in all likelihood beyond 400 games for the club...
I think that's one of the feel-good stories of the season so far.

@ExtremeFootbal4 Im neither a spurs or arsenal fan but what he did is absolutely unforgivable in my book. There are some things you just don't do. Lying to one fan base while engineering a free transfer to your local rivals is one.

@Cantona_Collars Schmeichel had to have counselling to cope with the horror of what happened that day.

@FrankEra_ Hes currently united's best player on the pitch (and has been since he joined the club and its not even close) and he is the perfect ambassador off the pitch too.

Ah yeah, the ‘most unlikeable player’ in the Premier League. What a boring narrative.
Here’s just one of many stories of why Bruno Fernandes is a wonderful human being.
Last year, a young fan called Bobby Moore sent a letter this favourite player after Bruno commented on a video of him celebrating a Manchester United goal.
Bobby, who has spinal muscular atrophy but still plays powerchair football, told Bruno how much he loves watching him.
Instead of reading the letter and leaving it there, Bruno invited Bobby and his family to Carrington, surprised him in person, introduced him to the squad, and made sure the whole day felt special.
Bruno didn’t stop there.. he gave the young fan tickets to the next Manchester derby, and told him that he’d be leading the team out with him.
That day, Bobby became the FIRST EVER wheelchair mascot to lead out the team at Old Trafford.
Bruno gave him his match-worn shirt and gave him another day to remember for life.
So yeah, we can run this ‘unlikeable’ gimmick because he flaps his arms around. But moments like that? That’s the type of man Bruno Fernandes is.

Jaack@Jaack
Aside from Bruno Fernandes, who is the most unlikeable player in the Premier League?

@SimplyUtd It still annoys me that Tevez was allowed leave. I know his move to West Ham was clouded in controversy but Im not sure why Fergie didn't pull out all the stops to keep him, as good as Berbatov was.

🚨🗣 Patrice Evra on Carlos Tevez Joining Manchester City:
“It was painful, man. It was heartbreaking. I couldn’t believe it. It was after the Champions League final and he didn’t start. He had a beef with Ferguson. Tevez was like ‘They didn’t offer me nothing’. I saw it on holiday. Boom! Tevez is joining Manchester City."
"I called him and said, ‘I’m going to kill you, I’m going to break your legs Carlito’. This was too painful. It was difficult to swallow. But I think this was a payback to Sir Alex Ferguson. That’s why I was disappointed, because at the end, you will never know the true story.”
"But we paid the price heavily. If Tevez didn’t sign for City, I don’t think they would even start winning one league. You feel betrayed, but he is still my brother. You have to respect his choice.”

@prodnose It's the only Beatles song I wish he wouldn't play. Especially since he introduced the singalong version (all the boys, all the girls etc) it really grinds my gears.

Today is the day. Eric Cantona's kung-fu kick becomes closer in time to the assassination of JFK than the present day. We are, without any shadow of a doubt, #HurtlingTowardsDeath.
