@mazeincoding This is Windows being protective of the system files and keeping stupid users from destroying the stability of the OS. Linux and OSX are even harsher on this, just not as obvious. Why do people complain about a mechanism that keeps them from ruining their computer?

@billycanada LOL, i see how it could read that way all im doing is opening it in file explorer. i have a few folders like this that won't open (i never intentionally modified the permissions)
