@girl474747 5 years we have been to the same mini camping in Zeeland NL. Same Dutch families, a Basque family and us (UK). My kids now have Dutch Pals. Does knowing one place really well compare to toe dipping in twenty. I dunno, but my gut feeling is my kids have had a better exp.

Free-to-air TV coverage of Tour de France stops in UK as Warner-Discovery-Eurosport get exclusivity. Cycling fans may have subs to ES but it means larger casual audience, ie the public, won't see it any more which is not good for them, nor the sponsors hoping to reach them.

@theAliceRoberts While I appreciate the concern for secular education, dismissing the role of religious education as mere "indoctrination" overlooks the cultural, historical, and moral significance that thoughtfully integrated faith-based elements can offer in a balanced curriculum.

Some parents with children joining primary schools this Autumn might be surprised at just how much religion is peddled in schools. ALL schools are meant to have daily *worship* and a third of primaries are faith schools - that means prayers in the classroom, bible stories taught as fact and the Church keeping a close eye on the whole curriculum. In the 21st century! Time for the indoctrination to stop.

2) Time-Telling Trickery "Half 6" means 5:30. It's "half TO six", not "half PAST six". Stems from the logical (to them) interpretation of "half of the sixth hour". Many a Brit has missed their taxi because of this subtle but significant difference.
