Some moron just asked me if Uber had ordered 5 seat cars as 2 seaters not available. Considering how many bespoke cabs get designed / built, you really think nobody wanted the business? Why are London black cabs built with so many seats? Because they get used. Elon is wrong.

@YTJustGetATesla Over 90% of taxi journeys are with 1 or 2 passengers, so it's simple design optimisaiton. Given the nature of the product, if more than 2 people need a ride, you get more cabs. But you don't get ANY drivers. See?

@mozzaev @YTJustGetATesla Do Uber have the data? I doubt it. You don't say the amount of passengers in the car when you book an Uber so they are not automatically storing it. The vast majority of journeys I expect are 1-2 passengers.

The most interesting part of the Uber x Rivian deal? Which vehicle they intend to run. Uber study *their own taxi data* and conclude 4 seats. Tesla study *someone else's taxi data* and conclude 2 seats. Someone has got this very wrong. Cybercab or Uber?
