In WWE, there are so many people on the roster that it’s difficult just to be chosen for a match. On top of that, it coincided with the pandemic, so I couldn't wrestle as much as I wanted. Then, it was decided I would play a "schoolgirl" character. Personally, I went there intending to show the strength of Japanese women’s pro wrestling, but the reality of what was required of me was different, and it was painful. The stress made me crave sweets. There were times after lunch when I’d eat an American-sized parfait and then finish off a big-size Häagen-Dazs; my face ended up covered in breakouts. Even so, I gave it my absolute all. Looking back now, it has all become food for my growth as an experience, so not a single bit of it was a waste." #wwe #nxt

Hayabusa slipped on the middle rope while doing the Asai Moonsault in the ring last week. Thankfully the slip was early on in the process and he was able to catch himself and perform the move successfully.

Say what you want about Steven Seagal, but there's no denying that these are four damn near perfect action films.

@Chucky101_blood Despite Singh's visuals I found it to be a bit underwhelming from a plot and performances standpoint. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend The Fall.

@PulpLibrarian The layers of this show are ridiculous. So much is going on. It's brilliant.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (2004). They only made six episodes! It's a show within a show, as horror author Garth Marenghi introduces clips from his cancelled 1980s Channel 4 supernatural drama Darkplace, intercut with actor interviews and readings from Garth's many, many, many books. There's explosions, gunplay, psychic abilities, portals from hell, slow motion running along corridors, pathos, romance and more explosions - plus musings on the nature of fiction, the craft of writing and some of the funniest line delivery ever seen on TV. It's endless fun, endlessly quotable ("I know authors who use subtext and they're all cowards!") and pitch perfect as a mockumentary and homage to '80s action horror drama. Matthew Holness, Matt Berry, Richard Ayoade and Alice Lowe turn in excellent performances. Matthew Holness is now writing and touring as Garth Marenghi, showing a new generation his Darkplace, so do check your local bookshop, horror magazine or internet forum ("if that's how you choose to live your life") for details.

Remember the time Los Ice Creams needed a partner for King of Trios, so names were drawn from a bucket & after multiple cold themed wrestler puns, WCW star Glacier came out to one of the loudest pops ive heard at the ECW Arena. AND they had snow. Chikara was real fun, you guys.
