This beautiful machine is the DEC PDP-1, Digital Equipment Corporation’s first computer, shown with the Type 30 display and console typewriter setup. It was a groundbreaking early interactive computer introduced in 1959 that helped shift computing away from pure batch processing and toward graphics, real-time use, and direct human interaction. Fun Fact: The PDP-1 is famously tied to Spacewar!, one of the earliest interactive computer games, which was developed on a PDP-1 in the early 60s. This machine has so much personality. Don't usually mention my personal life much here, but comms will be closed this month while I move house
