PEANUT ALLERGIES JUST GOT OWNED BY SCIENCE Breaking news: adults with life-threatening peanut allergies are now eating peanuts… for science. And not dying. So that’s new. In a clinical trial with 21 peanut-allergic adults (aka brave souls), researchers started by feeding them 0.8 milligrams of peanut flour — basically a speck. If they didn’t spontaneously combust, the dose went up every two weeks until they hit 1 gram, or about 4 whole peanuts. Gourmet. Result? 67% of them could eat five peanuts without their immune system throwing a tantrum. @ashtonforbes @MarioNawfal not true, my kids have all sorts of food allergies that just showed up one day. got them tested and we dona food challenge now and then. trust me, they want to eat normal. try an egg allergy, it's horrible, eggs are in a lot of our food we eat.
