In our view, it was mostly DMK. The DMK’s vote share in 2021 was 37.7%, with 1.55 crore votes in its kitty. Let’s assume the DMK lost 50 lakh votes due to SIR. Its vote share would drop to 25.6%. At 25.6%, the DMK looks very vulnerable. Now add anti-incumbency, and the situation appears precarious for the DMK. From the looks of it, the DMK combine might end up with just 30% of the vote. This is why the DMK pieced together the largest coalition. Now you understand, don’t you?

Pradeep Sangwan was probably the only left arm pacer in that squad and he even played 7 matches.
