@Timcast The pathetic thing is..... Those that are going to vote YES for it don't seem to realize that the party they want to give more power to in Congress...... are the same ones that are going to ass assault them with new taxes. Many of which will only affect the affluent areas 🤣🤣🤣
Democrats in Virginia today are voting to strip democracy from the process, eliminating Republican voices from congress
They are fascists and unrepentant
The actions of Texas or any other state are immaterial to the concept of democracy in Virginia

Providence’s “Creative Capital” just took a hard turn into political theater — and Mayor Brett Smiley is playing the lead… badly.
What started as a memorial mural for slain Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska has spiraled into a full-blown controversy — with Smiley now calling for it to be torn down altogether.
According to WJAR NBC 10, which first broke the story, the mayor’s office confirmed Sunday that Smiley wants the nearly completed mural removed from the side of The Dark Lady, a well-known LGBTQ+ club in downtown Providence.
Yes — removed.
The mural honors a 23-year-old woman who fled war, made it to America, and was brutally stabbed to death on a train in North Carolina. The painting isn’t even finished — but that hasn’t stopped City Hall from stepping in.
Smiley tried to justify the move with a statement about “divisiveness,” suggesting the mural’s backers — reportedly tied to a national campaign — are pushing the wrong kind of message.
Translation: the politics got uncomfortable.
The project, painted by a local artist, was meant as a tribute. But after reports surfaced linking similar murals nationwide to high-profile donors, including Elon Musk, backlash erupted — and the mayor folded.
Now the same city that prides itself on art, expression, and inclusion is trying to erase a memorial because it doesn’t pass a political purity test.
Let that sink in.
A young woman survives a war, only to be murdered in America — and months later, Providence’s mayor is more concerned about optics than honoring her life.
The mural is almost complete.
And the mayor wants it gone.
For a city that calls itself “creative,” this looks less like leadership — and more like panic.
