ADHD is not being able to fold your own laundry for 9 days but driving 40 minutes to help a friend move apartments on 2 hours notice. With snacks. And a color-coded plan.

🚨 : Two 17-year-olds have created a pen-sized filter capable of removing up to 94% of microplastics from water using ultrasonic waves, a simple, inexpensive, and surprisingly effective technology. The result was so shocking that they won $50,000 at the ISEF, the world's largest science competition for young people. THESE ARE INFLUENCES THAT REALLY MATTER.

Wow. Thomas Massie just exposed that 95% of his opponent’s funding is “literally from the Epstein class.” “95% of his money is from the Israel First lobby.” “Miriam Adelson, John Paulson, and Paul Singer.” “They’re literally the Epstein class.” “John Paulson organized a fundraiser for Howard Lutnick that Jeffrey Epstein helped fund.” “By the way, they support abortion, they support trans activists, they’ve done fundraisers for Chuck Schumer.” “But the thing they care most about is not America.” “It’s about Israel.” “And that’s why they're mad at me.” “They want you to say that Israel matters more than any other country.” “I’m sorry, it doesn’t.” @MassieforKY @RepThomasMassie @FmrRepMTG @mtgreenee

My baby sister has full blown sickle cell, and this is a glimmer of hope that one day she’ll be free of this painful disease. 🙏🏾
Massimo@Rainmaker1973

A 21-year-old man from Long Island has made medical history as the first person in New York State to be cured of sickle cell disease. Sickle cell disease is a painful genetic disorder in which red blood cells become rigid, crescent-shaped, and prone to clumping. These deformed cells block blood vessels, triggering intense pain crises, organ damage, strokes, and a significantly reduced life expectancy. The condition affects approximately 100,000 people in the United States. The breakthrough treatment, called Lyfgenia (lovotibeglogene autotemcel), is a one-time gene therapy developed by bluebird bio. The process begins by collecting the patient’s own bone marrow stem cells. In the laboratory, scientists use a lentiviral vector to insert a functional gene that enables the production of healthy hemoglobin. After the patient undergoes chemotherapy to eliminate the faulty cells, the genetically modified stem cells are infused back into the body. Once engrafted, these corrected cells start producing normal, flexible red blood cells that flow smoothly through blood vessels without causing blockages. For Sebastien Beauzile, who had lived with severe sickle cell disease for over two decades, the results were transformative. Chronic pain that had defined much of his life vanished, and his blood parameters normalized. Doctors now consider him cured. While the therapy is complex, requires intensive preparation, and remains extremely expensive, it represents a major shift in how sickle cell disease is approached — moving from lifelong symptom management to a potential one-time curative solution. As more patients gain access, Lyfgenia and similar gene therapies could offer hope for a future where sickle cell is no longer a lifelong burden. This milestone at Cohen Children’s Medical Center marks an important step forward in genetic medicine and personalized cures.

Respectfully, I don't think cooking together is romantic. Please move tf out of my way. One person cooks, the other sits at the counter and drinks wine and says things like "that smells so good" or "I love the things you cook."

Dr. Lemma
Dr. Lemma@DoctorLemma·
In 1951, a 14-year-old boy in Australia nearly died during surgery. He needed massive blood transfusions to survive. Strangers’ blood saved his life. He made a promise. The moment he turned 18, he would start donating blood. He kept that promise. He started donating in 1954. After the first few donations, doctors discovered something unusual. His blood contained a rare antibody that could be used to prevent a fatal condition in unborn babies. Before this discovery, thousands of babies in Australia were dying every year and doctors did not know why. Women were having miscarriage after miscarriage. Babies were being born with brain damage. The antibody in his blood changed everything. It was used to create a medication given to pregnant women whose blood was at risk of attacking their unborn child. His name was James Harrison. They called him “The Man with the Golden Arm.” He donated every two weeks for over 60 years. He never missed a single appointment. He expected nothing in return. In Australia, blood donors are not paid. He was terrified of needles the entire time. “I’ve never once watched the needle go into my arm,” he said. “I look at the ceiling. I look at the nurses.” His own daughter needed the injection during her pregnancy. His grandchildren may not have existed without his donations. “He has left behind a family that may not have existed without his precious donations,” she said. On 11 May 2018, at age 81, he made his 1,173rd and final donation. Australian law does not allow blood donations past that age. More than 3 million doses of medication made from his blood have been given to Australian mothers since 1967. He is credited with saving the lives of 2.4 million babies. He died peacefully in his sleep on 17 February 2025, aged 88. Scientists have since grown his antibody in a laboratory, hoping it will one day protect mothers and babies around the world.

Thomas Massie: "Jeffrey Epstein was dealing with presidents and prime ministers and billionaires" "And then here he is with these young girls." "Before the first press conference with the women survivors, I wondered if it was appropriate to call Epstein a ped*phile, maybe he was a s*xual deviant." "But once I realised they were 14 and 13, Epstein was a ped*phile, that is not an overuse of the word" Victoria Derbyshire: "The survivors tell me they were grateful that millions of documents of the Epstein files were released, but then they say no arrests... they feel gaslit." Thomas Massie: "I'm not satisfied until the survivors are satisfied, that's my benchmark." "Those men need to be perp walked in handcuffs to the jail." "Until we see that in this country we don't have a system of justice that is working."
