Very excited by this initiative from @Asbet0s 👀 This is the start of a broad conversation to make Ethereum delightful. From the beginning of our Improve UX work, we received a lot of inbound regarding the most glaring user-facing issues that needed to be fixed. It’s not all about protocol fixes! App and UX builders and designers navigate a wide choice of libraries and systems for their experiences to match web2 standards. EthUX shows them (and their agents 🤖) the way.

There is nothing more important to fight for, in this one beautiful life, than human freedom. Whoever you are, wherever you were born, you deserve liberation, sanctuary, sovereignty. “Alternatives exist. Trust hope, embrace resilience. E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle.”
Ethereum Foundation@ethereumfndn

Today, the Foundation’s Board released the EF Mandate. This document, which was first intended for EF members, reaffirms the promise of Ethereum, and the role of EF within this ecosystem.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to far, go togETHer. Some of the lore behind @offstage_x... Sometimes you just have to say “screw it” and believe in your team. And sometimes, that belief pays off. Without @renaissancing_’s wild ability to coordinate and stay calm, @Snapcrackle backing Binji to the bone and saying “go for it,” @nloureiro pushing Figma (and his GPU) to new heights, @web3content being the best writer and most attentive human I know, Jorge being our Argentinian saviour (some of the time), and @nethan_eth giving us a last-minute room during Devconnect… None of this would have happened. Offstage felt like the perfect blend of chaos. Testing our team, pushing us into new ways of collaborating, and giving us all the freedom to simply have fun. Last but not least, @binji_x does not get nearly enough flowers. The man grew this channel to 4k followers in just a few tweets, stirred up hype that even got me excited, and is constantly pushing the culture layer of Ethereum to new ATHs. He moderated for a full day, then got thrown into back-to-back interviews for three nonstop days, showed up, put his heart on the table, and gave it everything. And somehow, you’ve given Offstage a personality, one that feels so natural for you, yet is almost genius. Anyway… follow @offstage_x.

I want to take some time to explain what @offstage_x really is and how it came to life. One day, I was chatting to some crypto people about a conversation I’ve had many times. And at the table, they said: man, there’s a big problem with crypto. People outside of the industry hate it. It’s not relatable, there are all these scams, it’s just the same thing over and over again. But then the conversation took a turn. They went to stories about their lives. About their beliefs. About their excitement for the future. About their learnings from their past. And I remember looking around and thinking : “I just found the answer.” The answer to the thing everyone was complaining about, that crypto didn’t feel real enough, was sitting right in front of me. THEY were the ANSWER. The HUMANS behind the protocols. Then, after joining the EF, I remember talking to @Snapcrackle one day, and he said, “Binji, why don’t we just interview founders and interesting people in crypto?” And that was it. Within a day, @nloureiro and I had a logo and @lou3ee & @renaissancing_ found an awesome crew in Argentina. Then we sent invites to 40 people. No set or location or script. Barely a plan. They all said yes. (That trust means everything, and we will do right by it). When we arrived in Argentina, we had to build everything from scratch. I even reached out to my high school ex who lives there to help (ty tuti and valentina! #therekindler). @wagmiAlexander was the first guest and when it ended, I looked around the room and knew immediately we were onto something. Everyone felt it. And then we did it again. And again. And again. 41 interviews in 4 days. And man are we grateful for it. To have learned more about @AyaMiyagotchi , @dannyryan . To learn more about Ethereum and why people believe in it. To learn about @sandeepnailwal and his childhood. To learn about @StaniKulechov and his first ever computer. To learn about @VitalikButerin and the first thing he ever built. To learn about Timour and his DJ life. To learn about a smoking peach. To learn about @functi0nZer0 and how much he loves his kids, about @dabit3 and his suit business, about @camiinthisthang and her time dropping everything yet gaining even more. About the boldness, the fear, the failures and the future. About the people that make crypto real. And I’m so excited for you to see it. Crypto is nothing without its people. And Offstage is for the people. Now, some thanks: Thank you, Jorge, Luis, Sol and our Argentine crew, for sitting there with me for 4 days. 10, 11 hours, interviews after interview while we played Jenga with a bunch of crypto people. To James and Joshua: thank you for allowing this to happen. For making it happen. It’s hard to put belief in something that’s almost subjective in nature. But you put belief in it. And I think the world will come to appreciate that. I certainly do. To Nuno: without you, and without you pushing me to be better, pushing us to really just do this in the best way, this wouldn’t exist. Thank you. And thank you for the memes. You’re getting really good at those. To @web3content: For helping us have a clear head when it comes to putting out this stuff. We could not pull this off without you. Thank you for everything. To Louie. Louie Louie Louie, my man, my homie, the operator. Oh my god man this edit was some of the best I’ve ever seen. I think everyone else can stand by that. And to think we are just getting started. To Devcon volunteers, to RubzComms, Natalie, Filippo, Shanz, Stargirl, for helping all the guests feel welcome. And to our guests: you all know who you are. Thank you. For the lives that you live and the values that you hold. A lot of you are very different from each other. A lot of you had opposing views on things. A lot of you are competitors. But ALL of you are here. And I am fucking honored to tell your story. See you Offstage. Something top secret.
