He is buying only what he really needs, not necessarily wants. Bread - needs Coffee - needs and does want (to stay awake) Sanitary pads - she needs but it shows she is not pregnant again. Peanut butter - needs for the kids. They will ask, "daddy, did you forget the jam"? What is the little blue box? He needs soap.....Hmmm?
