I don't know how many times I have given that feedback to someone with some variation on this theme. "I do so much compared to another person" I have heard so many times. "Why is that person getting better reviews or making more money?" The response is always the same, the most valuable people are those that provide the most value to the business. Whether that is a founder, manager, individual contributor; that is the question you need to answer. What value do I provide and if you are corporate what value do I provide relative to those around me?

@ALEngineered It’s too easy to fall into this. It’s why I say to never listen to your manager or managers. Think for yourself, your managers are useless and will tell you to work on things because they want you to, not because the business values it.

@ALEngineered 임팩트 낮은 일 성실하게 해봤자 결국 AI 학습 데이터 셔틀 노릇만 하다 끝나는 거죠. 회사 입장에선 가성비 좋게 부려먹다가 갈아치우기 딱 좋은 시나리오라 정신 바짝 차려야 할 듯.
