Our son had a nuss procedure done on his chest on Nov 30. They took a medical crane, and raised his sternum to allow his lungs and heart to drop so they could slide two Titanium bars through to force the expansion of his chest. It's similar to braces being put on teeth to move and keep in place. It will be removed in three years. It's genetic. He will be able to play sports soon so watch out!
