This is huge for Android devs 👓 We’re exploring the same direction from the agent side with Open-AutoGLM (github.com/zai-org/Open-A…) — an open-source “AI phone agent” for Android that can actually operate the UI on its own. XR + AI phones feels like a very fun future to build for. 🚀

Building for glasses is exciting — but please, let’s not repeat the smartphone mistakes in XR. Before we ship 1,000 new ways to spam notifications into people’s eyes, we need: • hard limits on cognitive load and motion sickness • real-world safety awareness (streets, stairs, vehicles, children) • privacy by design for what the glasses see and hear • tools to protect attention and mental health, not just monetize it That’s exactly the gap I’m working on with HARI: a protective “nervous system” layer for XR and smart glasses, so devs can build amazing experiences *without* turning our field of view into the next ad feed. Happy to talk anytime about making Android XR not only powerful, but genuinely human-centric and safe.
